In November 1956, a disturbing phone call was made to local police from a psychiatric hospital in a remote area of Sussex, England. Though it was apparent that something terrible had happened, the call was disconnected before its origin could be traced.
Days later, the bodies of six staff and eight patients were found inside a large manor house that lay within the grounds of the hospital.
The ninth patient, an eight year old girl, was never found.
Three years later, Eric Coleman, an ambitious young journalist finds himself drawn to Hellingly Hill and the mystery that surrounds it.
But sometimes the truth is better left undisturbed.
